My name is Anna Ristau. I am 20 years old and currently live in Newnan, Ga. I was born in Smyrna, lived in Douglasville for most of life, and actually just moved to Newnan about 5 years ago. I am really enjoying Newnan, the town of homes, so far. I especially like to walk in the square and look at the neat old shops. Also in Newnan, I have found a church that I really like and currently attend: Macedonia Baptist Church (established in ). All in all, I like Newnan, but I chose to travel to Carrollton to continue my education.
I am a sophomore at the University of West where I plan to major in Computer Science. I have always loved computers and wanted to learn more about them, so I figured that Computer Science would be a good field to pursue. I have learned many things about computers so far from the University, including the programming languages of Java, Ruby, CSS, and XHTML. I expect to learn much more by the time I graduate in 2011 and then pursue a career in the computer field. I have other interests besides computers, though...
One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is play video games. I guess my favorite gaming system would have to be my PSP. I like the freedom of being able to play my games on the go. A couple of my favorite games on the PSP system are Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core and Loco Roco.
Another thing I like to do whenever I get the time to relax is read. My favorite books are in the fantasy and sci-fi sections. I enjoyed "The Lord of the Rings" series by J.R.R Tolkien and the "Inkheart" series by Cornelia Funke. Also, I am looking forward to reading Stephenie Meyer's latest book in the "Twilight" series: Breaking Dawn. When I'm not playing video games or reading, I like to spend time with my family. Whether it's some indoor activity (like watching movies or playing board/card games) or some outdoor activity (like hiking or geocaching) I enjoy doing it with my family.
